Youth Mentoring and After School Programs
Project Prosperity and Faith Inc (PPF, Inc) offers a unique mentoring program for youth. The program is offered in both an after school setting and also as a traditional mentoring program. We are in Partnership with The Mentoring Center of Central Ohio. There is required Mentoring Trainings, and we offer a Mentoring Certificate.

The following are components within our Mentoring Program:

Inter-generational Concepts Embracing the Future (ICEF) - The program matches retired senior citizens with inter-city youth. Young adults are also matched with seniors that reside in nursing homes or individuals with disabilities.

Guidance, Education, & Leadership (GEL) - A traditional mentoring program for youth ages 5-17 or young adults ages 18-21 that have “aged out” of the foster care population but are still in need of additional life skills and other support and services.

The Youth Center for Entrepreneurship - Provides youth with Financial Literacy Education & Personal Money Management, and hands on Entrepreneurship experience/skills. Youth produce and sell their own products to fund school related field trips, activities, and purchase supplies or goods for school related projects. Youth are also matched with a Professional Mentor within a Profession that is the choice of each child. Youth learn the importance of dedication, working hard, and being self-sufficient. Partnerships are formed with Corporations, Businesses, and Organizations that contribute either products (In-Kind Donations), monetary donations, or service time toward internship hours to work with youth.

Youth/Young Adult/Families/Disabled Individuals Cultural Art Programs - PPF, Inc has a partnership with organizations that allows an opportunity to expose youth/young adults to the local arts scene in Columbus and Central Ohio. We have a long standing partnership with Ballet Met Columbus that allows youth and their families an opportunity to attend Ballet Met Performances throughout the year.

Life Skills and Character Education - This program offers a curriculum contains necessary knowledge to enable students to think through and solve important problems. It equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to set goals for themselves and make better life choices.

All Volunteers are required to attend mentoring trainings and must complete and pass a background check. There is a mentoring certificate provided for individuals that complete additional mentoring trainings beyond the required mentoring trainings.
